Curious Chef Review and Giveaway!

The Holidays are nearing and one place that most moms (and dads) can be found is the kitchen. Food, yummy food, is a large part of the Holiday season. My son Jason is now old enough to realize that baking looks fun and I am constantly hearing "Mommy, can I help you?". When Curious Chef offered to send me out a free 27 Piece Foundation set for review I had visions of bonding with Jason over our cookie dough. That may have been wishful thinking.

The Curious Chef products really work. When I opened our Foundation kit I was a bit concerned that the quality wouldn't be high and that Jason wouldn't really end up being able to help out. But my husband and I joke that Jason's cooking items are better than any of ours. The kit also came with a little chefs outfit so Jason can dress the part while he is making his cookies.

Jason was really excited about this when it arrived. He wanted to make cookies right away so we immediately started baking. He wore the outfit, helped measure out all the ingredients that went into the bowl, but when the hard part came he started losing interest. He didn't think that stirring was as much fun as making the mess of flour and sugar. I tried to start those deep conversations I thought we could share together but he wasn't having it. Pretty soon the hat came off and he told me "I'm going to watch Sponge Bob, call me when my cookies are finished".

Oh well, guess I can't blame him, at 5 years old they are looking for instant gratification. Let's see if your child can finish the whole project.
