002 e1361671865326 600x1024 Its The 85th Annual Oscars And These Are My Picks For The Win!Yes boys and girls Sunday February 24th is the big day! It’s basically the Superbowl of Hollywood, and trust me that joke was said well before last Wednesday on The Middle. Because it’s not even a joke, it’s just the truth. The Academy Awards are about art and entertainment and all the things that make us happy in the world. Well, maybe that’s just people like me.

I’ll be throwing an Oscar Party with a few of my closest friends. SeaWorldMommy, MyBoysandTheirToys, LifewithBeagle and many others will be joining me in choosing the past years movie greats. I’m wondering who you will be voting for this time around? I’ve written them out below, my choices are in bold. This time however I’ve added a twist to my ballot. My choices for who I think WILL win are in bold, but my choice for who I want to win will be italicized. It’s my blog and I’ll make the rules!

In my opinion there aren’t a lot of surprises this awards season. The winners have been raking the statues in this whole time with the Golden Globes and then Sag! But, Best Supporting Actor is UP IN THE AIR! That award could go to anyone. I personally think Bobby D should take it home, but man did Christoph Waltz ever do a witty job in Django and Tommy Lee Jones is a definite contender for his role in Lincoln.

The fact of the matter is that anyone who doesn’t win this year was robbed because it’s one of the first years I can remember where each and every actor and picture is worthy of the nomination. Well, except maybe The Master because where the heck did that come from? But joking aside it breaks my heart for anyone walking away without a little gold man in their hands. This year it truly is an honor just to be nominated.

I’ll wrap this up by saying I have an unhealthy obsession with Silver Linings Playbook, but hey, isn’t that what the movie was all about? Don’t forget to tune in Sunday night at 8:30 PM EST on ABC with Host Seth McFarlane. This should be fun!

Agree with all except best supporting actor. Gotta go with my Man, Tommy Lee Jones! Love him! Although I love Robert DeNiro too so I wouldn’t be upset if he won!
