Get ready for some face paced summer fun with Aerobie flying discs. Aerobie is based in Palo Alto, California and has been encouraging physical activity through their sport toys since 1984. Their product line has something for everyone even Fido.
What sets Aerobie apart? First of all they were invented by a Stanford University engineering instructor named Alan Adler who also just so happens to be the founder of Aerobie. He wanted to create a better Frisbee and he achieved it all right. He created his discs to fly farther and be more precise and the proof is in the pudding. World class thrower Erin Hemmings broke the Guinness World Record of the “longest throw of an object without any velocity-aiding feature” on July 14, 2003 using an Aerobie Pro ring. The distance? 1,333 feet (406 meters). That right there is proof that Aerobie flying discs can go the distance.
Ok Erika, but did they go the distance for you? Will they get you out from behind the computer updating the blog or playing bingo online? I received the Sprint flying ring and the Aerobie Superdisc. I brought the Sprint flying ring outside to my kids in the front yard. They are familiar with the disc because we have a disc golf net in our back yard and a large array of discs to throw that they are familiar with. My daughter picked up the disc to throw it to her brother and all I hear is her yell “Whooo, did you see that?” and Kyle goes running to get the disc which sailed past him. I’m telling you, these discs are AWESOME!
Aerobie flying discs fly much further than anything I have used plus they are so much more precise then your regular run-of-the-mill Frisbee which often banks to one side during flight. The Superdisc comes equipped with a special spoiler rim that makes it much easier to throw straight then a conventional disc. The Superdiscs also have a soft edge to make it comfortable to catch and easy to grip. They are great for use in groups where people have a different throwing ability which is a plus for me because I am a side arm thrower which I find to be very common on the lefty community.
If you want to get your kids outside and get them active or find a new activity the entire family can enjoy then you have to check out www.Aerobie.com.
