I don’t know about you, but I’ve had to seriously cut some corners with my grocery list. When exactly did food start costing so much? $3.99 for a bag of chips! Who can afford this? Not me, that’s for sure. I used to laugh at the moms in the store combing through their coupon folders making sure they were getting the best deal. I really thought that took more time than it it was worth, but now I get it. Being a single mom I still don’t have time for the coupon clipping, instead I discovered that if I shop at my local ALDI Food Store, I save tons of money and get to keep my time. Which along with money I have very little of.
You may have been just like me in thinking that ALDI’S food was somehow less nutritious or tasted funny because it wasn’t name brands. However don’t you ever purchase your store brand in order to cut costs? ALDI Food Stores are just like that, except everything costs less without compromising taste or your families’ health. Everything I purchase at ALDI is just as good if not better than the top shelf items I pay twice as much for at leading stores.
For instance I can purchase a bag of Nacho Cheese Tortilla Chips for $1.19 at ALDI, for the same size bag that I would be paying $3.99 for across the street at Jewel Foods. At first Jacob complained that I didn’t get him the “right kind” of Doritos, and then I switched the bags, he couldn’t tell the difference and has stopped challenging me.
ALDI also has a full line of healthy foods and beverages. As a matter of fact ALDI’s brand Nature’s Nectar 100% Berry Burst Juice has won the 2012 SELF magazine Healthy Food Award under the drink category, which by the way costs half of what Juicy Juice costs. Go to your nearest ALDI Store today and check out all that they have to offer. Keep in mind you need to bring your own bags and a cart will cost you a refundable quarter.
