The other day I had the chance to do the unthinkable. NO I didn’t jump out of an airplane or kill a spider so don’t get excited, I actually spent some time with my family. I know, I know it’s almost unbelievable that with my busy schedule I was able to put in some time with my kids. Alright I’m kidding people relax of course I spend time with my kids, just not as much as I’d like. During the summer they both go to summer camp and both summer camps ask that we slather them with sunscreen before sending them on their way. It’s such a relief to know that I’m using a safe alternative on their youthful skin with Banana Boat’s new Natural Reflect Sunscreen Lotion.
The Natural Reflect Sunscreen is 100% naturally sourced mineral sunscreen. It actually reflects the suns UVA and UVB rays. We’ve been using it for quite a while and my kids haven’t come home burned a single day. Ya’ll remember I live in Orlando, FL right? Just making sure. Because there is no beating this sun, and those summer camp counselors don’t reapply the sunscreen. It might also have something to do with the fact it comes in 50+ protection. Here’s a few more facts to help ease your mind, because I realize when people think “green” they get nervous and immediately think hippy hokum:
• 100% naturally-sourced mineral sunscreen active with Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide
• Oxybenzone-free
• Paraben-free
• Gentle on sensitive and delicate skin
• Proven effective against sunburn and to help prevent long-term skin damage
• Broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection
• Water resistant
The amazing bloggers Melanie with ModernMami.com and Suzannah from Zannaland.com hosted the Banana Boat 101 Days of Summer Party for our group and they did a terrific job. They had delicious healthy snacks and fun games for the kids. Both of them were able to tell us all about the product line in great detail and were a great resource for any questions the group may have had. We left with a great bag filled with 3 bottles of Banana Boat Natural Reflect for Kids, Baby and Regular. Now I can protect my children and the environment. That’s a win as far as I’m concerned!
