When I was asked to review BeFitMom Bounce Back Fast Post Natal Core Conditioning DVD I was a little hesitant. I’m not much of an exerciser. After two kids my spare tire resembles that on the back of a Mack truck. And to be quite honest, I’m pretty much okay with this. I’m happy with who I am. However after watching the DVD Helene Byrne showed me that with a few simple exercises I could better myself, make myself healthier and continue to be happy with “me”.
What I really like about this video is the instruction. Helene has a 4 month post partum mom (who has absolutely no post baby fat, but I digress) perform her program as she walks the viewers through each step. She goes slowly and speaks clearly. She explains what you should be feeling and how your body should be posed. This allows people who learn by watching and listening to master all the moves.
There are 3 different workouts on this DVD. The first is called Gentle Moves and it can be performed just days after giving birth. Low impact would be an exaggeration. I found this part of the workout to be more about getting comfortable with your body. It is said to start flattening post partum “jelly belly” and help stretch your tight sore muscles.
The second is Bounce Back Fast and it builds on the Gentle Moves workout and creates a more total-body workout. This part of the work-out was still manageable however I did feel the burn. For someone who never exercises this was inevitable. This section of the DVD is said to speed post partum weight loss and flatten the abdomen and improve body contours quickly among a list of other beneficial things.
The third part is a variation of Bounce Back Fast with special exercise modifications for moms with abdominal separation, basically where your six pack spreads apart at the body’s midline. These exercises were also break-a-slight-sweat worthy but I was still able to make my way through the entire thing with only minor heavy breathing.
I would highly recommend Bounce Back Fast by BeFitMom to any mom who needs help getting back to her pre pregnancy size. I do mean any mom. You have read this review written by a mom who is anything but physical and I had no problem completing the program. I think even if you work out 5 days a week at a gym this program will help you because it is designed for the post partum body.

I’ve never tried anything crazy, unless you count the time I didn’t eat for two days after a bad breakup. I wasn’t trying to lose weight then, though.

I once only ate carrots for a month. I did lose about 5 pounds, but I also turned orangey yellow!

watermelon diet- talk about peeing like a race horse mrs.mommyyatgmaildotcom
Cabbage Soup Diet before my wedding… needless to say – I GAINED weight. Fad diets are just that, FAD!

Ok so I don’t have any crazy stories myself I usually just work out and cut back on fatty foods. My sister, however, used to go on the potatoe chip and french onion dip diet. This is all she’d eat and it seemed to work…for awhile
I haven’t done too many weird diet things. I have fasted, done low arbs, and the vegan flush but mostly I just cut back on the sweets.

drinking grapefuit juice 10 times a day`
I have tried many things but the craziest was the herbal supplements associated with metabolife…i broke out in hives but kept taking them till my throat swelled shut…ick…

I have to say that the craziest thing I have tried was when I drank fresh lemonade every morning. Not bad but not it is quite gross!
I’ve never really done anything crazy…I did Slim Fast once, but I wouldn’t call that crazy. I had great success with Weight Watchers too. But I’m pregnant…again….and I never lost my excess weight from #2. So I’d REALLY love to have this to help me start losing after the baby is born. Thanks for the chance to win!

eat nothing but grapefruit diet
Haven’t tried anything myself, but had a friend who did a soup diet for one week. Her poop became so runny and she had diarrea for another week. That’s a way to lose weight. Needless to say, that was never attempted again!
I’m going to be needing something like this soon! I wouldn’t say I’ve done crazy dieting things but I’m sure most of us have tried dieting at some point. The most crazy thing I’ve tried to do is drink a lot more water and flush my body.
I did the soup diet, lost 5 lbs in a week and then gained it back!!

The soup diet, oh my goodness.
I did the 48 hour Hollywood diet where all you do is drink this juice for 2 days!

I’ve tried working out like crazy and cutting way back on calories. Didn’t help me lose weight. Just screwed up my metabolism.

I believe celery and water diet was about the nastiest thing I have tried.
I tried not eating a whole day and did it at legoland! Let’s say after my head hurt and I felt sick I had to buy a Pepsi and a pizza!

The persimmon diet – don’t get stranded without access to a bathroom. That’s all I’m sayin’.
Okay, this is a little embarrassing. I once tried rolling the fat off with a rolling pin, a practice recommended by Victoria Principal. It didn’t work!

I am pretty good at not trying crazy diets because I can’t stick to them. But I did get super sick doing release from gnc…it was horrible!

I’ve never had any success with fad diets. Usually the times I lose weight is when I get so busy I don’t take time to eat or when I get really sick…though the time I lost the most weight was after a summer of working at summer camps and hiking all over cities and up and down mountains in Romania (usually with at least a backpack on my back)!!
I’d love to win this, as we just found out I’m expecting our first child and already my clothes are feeling tight!! I could definately use something like this to jump-start my getting back into shape once the little munchkin is born!!
I ate a lot of watermelon and cheese for 3 months and I lost 9 kilos:)

I have done several crazy diets. I have fasted, tried a cleansing diet, a shake diet, I also use to take diet pills go work out for two hours and then go sit in the sauna. But those where all done earlier in life.

Well, I’ve done a lot of crazy things! Like drink 3 cups of coffee a day without food…talk about major dehydration! Then wrapping my belly fat with plastic to make it sweat! HA ..didnt work either! Eating lots of things with lime juice to help my metabolism go faster. All I’ve seem to lost are my boobs..where did they go after breast feeding??? ahhhhh!
yep Im the crazy try anything person!

I tried the water diet drank a glass of water b4 meal and after
I went on a zero card diet a few times. I was a total grouch and the weight came back with a vengeance!
I followed you!
Black beauties are the only way I diet
I went on an all yogurt diet and got so burned out on it I couldn’t eat yogurt for years after that. Yes, I was once young and stupid. Exercise and a sensible diet are the key.
pineapple diet
I think my craziest was a fruit diet …. it didn’t last long, I was starving!!!

Thanks!
I’ve never really done anything very silly or crazy, but watching my mom on the low carb rollercoaster has been interesting. I don’t know how people get away with complaining that a diet didn’t work when they didn’t actually read anything but the introduction. marusempai AT gmail DOT com

cabbage soup – hated the stuff!!!
We did the vegetable soup diet once about 15 years ago or so and we had to eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was horrible. On day 2 for dinner we went to Fuddruckers and that was the end of that. Nobody should have to eat the same thing at every meal for days on end. That’s just wrong.

i ate nothing but Jello for a month straight
I haven’t done anything crazy but I did do Body for Life a couple times. I had to eat 6 times a day / workout 6 days with one cheat day – shakes, bars, lifting, running. Couldn’t imagine attempting with a 2 year old and newborn!!!

i did that lemonade-chili pepper cleanse and it turned me into a raving mad cow.
The craziest?
I would have to say anything involving leaving out a food group….. Like… bread. That was just silly!!
I decided that I would try drinking a minimum of 100 oz of water a day and eat mainly lentils. I did lose some weight, but it totally wrecked my GI system.

I also tried the cabbage soup diet. It wasn’t a good experience.
I tried drinking 10 cups of water a day… It might have helped in the long run but I had to potty too much! lol
I went on a ‘gallon a day’ water diet once and spent most of my time in the bathroom, lol. trinitygsd at yahoo dot com
Nutri system-what a waste of money. Food that can sit on a shelf for years. How healthy can that be? Their snacks like chips were HORRIBLE.
I once restricted my calories too low and it backfired and ended up gaining weight due to the excessive hunger binges I had!
I guess the only crazy thing i’ve done was try to work out hard an hour a day every day with no break. I gave that up after awhile lol.
I did serious strength training and cardio for awhile and fasted for a about 12 days during that time. For some reason, that didn’t work very good.

The craziest thing I ever did was a liver flush. That was seriously the most disgusting thing ever! I’m surprised I got the foul green gunk down, but it did make an improvement…if only in my head. Thank you!
I have tried some kind of soup diet, I cant remember the name. Needless to say I got tired of the same soup over and over.

When iwas MUCH younger, my friend and I wanted to lose weight so badly and thought that if we did nothing but eat carrots and drink as much water as we possibly could all day long, we would get skinny overnight. It was a horrible idea! We lasted about 6 hours until we were tired of peeing and starving. Now I know it is very bad for you to dink too much water.
Eating only cottage cheese. I felt so disgusting after only a day. I had to recover by eating some icecream haha.
I’ve never done anything crazy! I’ve tried not ot eat for a while, but it lasted a day.
im 3 months post partum, and I need something drastic!
hawkgirl_16 @ hotmail.com
Hmmm. . probably fasting one day a week. Thanks. I would love this DVD for my daughter, a brand-new Mom.
