This past Sunday my co-writer Aimee and I visited Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Bands Brew & BBQ with our men folk and we had a rock out time. We had the chance to meet The Bare Naked Ladies! I mean come on, who doesn’t love The Bare Naked Ladies and their hit songs such as Old Apartment, If I Had A Million Dollars and my personal favorite One Week! They sang all of these and some I’d never heard before. On top of all that Aimee and I both found true love in the eyes of band member Jim Creeggan. We expect he’ll be leaving his family and running away with us to some far off deserted Island any day now…we’re waiting Jim.
Coming up this Sunday you can catch The Doobie Brothers, another fan favorite. The Sunday after which would be March 3rd be sure to catch the Goo Goo Dolls. I love the Goo Goo Dolls!
There are so many ways you can enjoy Bands Brew and BBQ at Busch Gardens. You can simply purchase a ticket into the park and enter the festival seating area at 3:00 PM to ensure you get a seat for the show which will start at 5PM or you can get a VIP ticket. VIP tickets start at $34.99 and work their way up to $59.99. They offer all different types of ways to enjoy your food and beer and special places to sit during the concert. I will tell you that there was not a lot of seating, certainly not as much seating as Sea World offered, so getting a VIP ticket is a good idea if you don’t want to be left standing in the field. It’s a field, literally.
The beer choices were plentiful, no one could complain. Seriously more than 100 Imported beers including those from Shock Top, Victory Brewing, Blue Point Brewing and Magic Hat. Luckily you’ll probably just be sampling or else you’d need someone to carry you home. No matter what decision you make be sure to drink responsibly.
The BBQ smelled delicious and it was no wonder why. Smokey Bones, Outback Steakhouse, Kojacks House of Ribs and Busch Gardens are all involved in making Bands Brew and BBQ a success. BBQ chicken wings, Full racks of ribs, Beef Brisket and so much more was on the menu. You were able to choose one entree and one tasty side with your wrist band.
So be sure to come on out to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Bands Brew & BBQ 2013 Festival sometime over the next 2 Sundays, listen to some great music, I mean really great music. Eat some delicious finger licking good BBQ and drink over 100 different kinds of beer responsibly! You’ll be glad you did!

The Bare Naked Ladies put on such an awesome show!! They are talented in so many ways and know how to entertain a crowd. This was a FUN TIME! Especially the smell of BBQ everywhere!
