0131 1024x768 CLOSED! Chronicles Of Narnia Voyage Of The Dawn Treader! Interview With Cast!Last week I was invited to LA for a Chronicles Of Narnia Voyage Of The Dawn Treader event. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader will be released in theatres on December 10th! I had the chance to interview two of the actors from the cast which was a treat. Will Poulter and Georgie Henley are only teenagers but they are already groomed to be the classiest act Hollywood has seen in years. Read what they had to say about the movie and life below!

They enter the room and immediately begin teasing one another as if no time had passed since they last seen one another.

Georgie Henley: Hello. Nice Jacket.

Will Poulter: Thanks. Nice Dress.

Then the time comes to get down to business.

Blogger: Does it seem like a long time to you guys since you did the filming of the movie, because you both look so much older.

Ms. Georgie Henley: It does seem like a long time– –Especially seeing as, when you’re at school in England, the minute you hit about sixteen, you have important exams for the rest of your life, it seems. And so, I’ve gone through a transition in my school life, where I was kind of floating around and doing my work and everything, but now, I can really work hard towards something.
So, it feels strange to have that transition at the same time as doing Narnia. So yes, it feels like a really long time.

Blogger: –Are you a celebrity at your school?

Mr. Will Poulter: No, by no means, not at all–.

Ms. Georgie Henley: –No, I’m the geek of my group–I’m the geek that hangs out with the cool people. That’s my role. I’m the one the people laugh at. Which is fine? (laugh)

Blogger: So, have you gone through any of the same kind of things like in the movie? Not so much jumping through a paining, but as young people, do you see your lives kind of parallel in any way?

Ms. Georgie Henley: Well, in the Dawn Treader, Lucy goes through tons of insecurities when she has to deal with jealousy and her insecurities in the way she looks as well as dealing with the way people treated her. I believe this is something that all teenage girls
encounter at some point. I know it’s something that I’ve encountered already, and it’s just a natural experience, a right of passage.
I thought that I could relate to her use my personal experiences, to help the character along a bit. So, yes I did experience some similarities, and in the end it helped.

Mr. Will Poulter: Yes I agree, that is an important part of the film to point out. It’s a cool message where, as Georgie also said, teenage girls in the audience see a strong girl and that’s a nice thing for them to be able to relate to in Lucy’s character.

Ms. Georgie Henley: Yes, thank you Will!

Mr. Will Poulter: And I think people who’ve grown up with the films are going to be able to relate to Georgie’s character the whole way through. As she grows up and matures. Do you know what I mean? And that’s what’s so very cool about it.

Blogger: So Will — how did you get in touch with your bratty side? (Laughter)

Blogger: Mark Johnson (the Producer) called it your “irksome” side.

Mr. Will Poulter: Might have to ask my Mum, yes! Well, I don’t know. Eustace was such a fun character to play. He was a really fun character I could get my teeth into, though, I hope I’m not too much like him. Sometimes it was quite difficult simply because he is almost in a sort of constant tantrum from the minute he arrives in Narnia until the minute he turns into a dragon. Much of Eustace’s character transformation takes place when he is a dragon, discovering the kind of error of his ways, because this tantrum’s almosCast Autograph 200x300 CLOSED! Chronicles Of Narnia Voyage Of The Dawn Treader! Interview With Cast!t distorted his vision of himself and everyone else around him. And Reepicheep–obviously, his relationship with him is
quite an intimate one, and I think Reepicheep’s is responsible for mentoring him and revealing to him the–kind of the error of
his ways. And really, when he transforms back into a human, he’s a different person. It’s was really as if I then had to play a different character! And so, it was quite a dramatic transformation. And I really enjoyed that–the opportunity to play two sides of him. It was a cool experience. So, after being such a brat for almost six months, I relished the prospect of being nice for a bit. (Laughter) I
t was real challenge, but one that was really exciting as well.

After the interview the actors were happy to sign some posters and pose for some great pictures. Right now one lucky winner will receive a poster autographed by Will Poulter and Georgie Henley! Enter below!

Honestly, the whole thing appeals to me. It’s so much more book-like looking than Prince Caspian. I can’t wait to see it!

actually, it’s what you interviewed Georgie about– what Lucy goes through: feeling so completely worthless and insecure and then realizing that Aslan (Christ) really does care no matter what other people tell you about your worth (i.e. ‘you can get married now because you’re no good around here [because i have carpel tunnel and can't help my dad with work... so it makes me worthless]) If anything I’m going to be crying just because I can feel how worthless Lucy feels during the whole thing…

I am interested in seeing how this, the most action oriented of the Narnia books, works out on film.

The part that appeals most to me in this film is the ending – the end of the world and Aslan’s Country. I love seeing Reepicheep’s desire to be with Aslan in his country (like Christ in heaven) and I want my desire for Christ to be the same: not letting obstacles get in my way, but riding “onward to our destiny” with arms open towards my maker. I’m eager to see this part of the film – and I love that scene in the book.

The Redemption of Eustace and the relationship he has with Reepicheep is one of the many things I Love about The Voyage of the Dawn Treader! The visuals and magic that the film has brought to life is stunning and I can’t wait to watch it! It has been well worth the wait!

The journey as a whole appeals to me. I’m taking a college class in C. S. Lewis this spring and I’m extremely excited! Great story.

I just love the story, the constant battle between good and evil, and the fight to set things right! The best part though, is the special effects! It’s amazing the detail and lifelike way the characters are created and how lifelike they are!

The part that I love is when Eustace is turned into a dragon because of his selfishness and pride, and he can’t change himself back into a boy, only Aslan can change him. It’s such a great picture of what Christ does for us.

The best part is always Aslan. Whenever I see him I think of Jesus and my daughter being with Him-and it makes me cry.
