We Made The Cision Top 50 Product Review Bloggers List!

It may seem a bit pretentious for me to write about how MySentimentExactLee made the Cision Top 50 Product Review Bloggers List this week but I ask you to hear me out. First I want to say thank you to those that made the decision, our entire team is grateful for the vote of confidence. Therein lies the reason for my post today. No longer, and not for a long time, has this site been just about me. I have two amazing writers and a handful of other staff who work their behinds off every day to produce quality content for your reading pleasure and they deserve this award.

When I first started this site back so many years ago it was mainly “to get free stuff”. The truth of the matter is most bloggers do, simply because they have no idea what they could be using their site for. Since then I’ve opened myself up to so much more. Instead of just a simple hobby I turned MSEL into a career. A career where I was able to generate an income sharing my honest opinions with other mother’s and other people.

I asked you to hold my hand as my friend died from lung cancer at the age of 35 years old. We learned together about Non Small Cell Lung Cancer and how quick it will take the life of your loved one. I’ve used this blog to get down on my knees and beg your to donate your organs and have had so many of you stop me in public and tell me that you have signed up to become and organ donor. It warms my heart to know I may have influenced this type of decision. Knowing I’ve made any difference in this world is what this blog is all about.

At one point near the beginning I was voted one of the Nielsen Top 50 Power Moms which is probably the biggest honor in blogging. That was most undeserved and lit a fire under my butt no one will ever understand. I worked 10x harder than you could imagine to prove I belonged in that elite club. The opportunities started rolling in and I received more product than I could handle, more travel opportunities than I could juggle and then the best thing happened; I came face to face with my first love, Entertainment. It was that moment I knew I could no longer do it alone, because Entertainment needed a lot more of my attention. It was time to bring on full time writers.

Both Jackie and Erika were thrilled to join up and begin getting their “free stuff”.  After about a  year when that novelty wore off for them, the way it does for each blogger, they also began experimenting with their voice. Jackie loves to cook and she started sharing that side of herself. Pretty soon we are going to unleash her onto politics (slowly and in controlled environments). Erika has a deep love for crafting, sewing is a passion for her and if I’d let her she’d write about it all the time. She has some great ideas for posts in the future and we can’t wait. She also loves to work out and has lost a significant amount of weight over the past year. I hope she’ll share that story with us little by little. She is always the most beautiful woman in the room and I find her to be an inspiration.

This is my team. Every day these are the women I catch up with or at least try to catch up with since we are so busy. These are the women who complain that they have 5 posts in the queue and I’m behind. While I struggle to show a modicum of professionalism as an editor they both teach me that I’m about as humble as Tony Stark. But I wouldn’t give them up for the world, and they earned this award. This one is for them. Thanks ladies!
