As a review blogger I do a lot of traveling. I’ve learned that the easiest way to navigate the airport is to pack light and use carry on luggage. Only trouble with this is my clothes tend to get really wrinkled and I’m always worried that the iron in the hotel room is going to have something on it that will stain my only dress and then what would I do? Conair has released the new ExtremeSteam Professional Hand Held Garment Steamer that is perfect for travel, and takes care of all those wrinkles that traveling causes.
The steamer is easy to use, simply fill the detachable water reservoir (I use purified water to try to reduce lime buildup I get from the tap, but you can use tap water if you like) and plug it in. The cord is super long, which is great because I don’t have one of those fancy hooks for steaming and I need enough length to hang the garment on my shower curtain rod. There are two settings, low for delicate clothes and high for your typical cottons. The trigger is in a comfortable position and the unit also has a lock for continuous steam. The Conair ExtremeSteam also comes with 3 removable attachments; a brush, a creaser and a soft cushion brush for very delicate items.
It only took about 3 minutes for the green light to come on, indicating I was ready to steam. From start to finish I was able to steam my 3 piece outfit I was wearing to work in less than 10 minutes leaving no water spots at all. It was quick and easy and my clothes looked great. It certainly beats getting out the ironing board and doing it the old fashioned way. I also like that I can use the ExtremeSteam on my bedding after I make the bed for that clean crisp feeling.
