Fast Food can get tiresome and boring. Sometimes you just want to go out to eat without spending a fortune, but have something a little healthier than a greasy hamburger and french fries. The Corner Bakery is a great place to go for a quick meal with the family that won’t break the bank and won’t make you feel guilty later about what you ate for dinner. The Corner Bakery Cafe has brought back for a limited time its BBLT (Bacon, Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich). This sandwich is piled high with smoked bacon goodness between two thick slices of fresh baked bread. It is to die for!
Jake and I had the chance to visit The Corner Bakery Cafe to give the BBLT a try. We each had ½ a sandwich with a small Arugula Salad and a cup of homemade soup. Then I had a lemon bar the size of my head (my favorite) and Jake got a Chocolate Chip Cookie. It was like I had died and gone to food court heaven. Everything was so good, even Jake loved it, and Jake hates everything. They were not kidding when they said they doubled the bacon. However the sandwich had a hard time comparing to the cheese and broccoli soup, it was out of this world good. My only complaint is that there isn’t a Corner Bakery Cafe closer to home so I could have this treat more often.
