This is a post I never exactly thought I’d be writing however I’m extremely excited to be taking this huge step in my life. I’ve teamed up with Dr. George H Pope of Orlando Plastic Surgery Center to have some work done this Tuesday. I know what you are thinking, “She’s getting boobs!” but actually, my boobs are pretty awesome as is. I’m actually getting face work done. Rhinoplasty and liposuction.
I know that a lot of people have strong opinions on plastic surgery and I respect everyones right to their opinion. I however feel that people should do everything in their power to do what makes them happy. When you live every day of your life uncomfortable with a feature, especially one smack in the middle of your face, you can become really fixated on making a change. I’ve wanted a nose job since I was a young girl. I’ve been teased about my nose since 3rd grade. I’ve always felt I had a masculine face and that’s a horrible feeling for a girl.
Yes, we should be happy with who we are. If only it were that easy. Will I teach my kids to be happy with who they are? Absolutely. If they aren’t is it something we will talk about and work through? Absolutely, but I don’t agree with cosmetic surgery until adulthood. But I do believe that for all stages of life self confidence and self esteem are tricky things. They should come naturally but it’s not always that easy and as I mentioned before, it’s up to us to make the decision for ourselves that will bring us joy.
I’ll be blogging and vlogging about my journey starting tomorrow so please keep an eye on MySentimentExactLee.

Good luck Lee! Speedy recovery. I’ll be keeping track
Lee, I’m really truly happy for you. I know what it feels like to spend your whole life hating a part of your body. I think it’s wonderful you’ve found a surgeon to help you make the changes that will help you feel better about yourself.
Very happy for you Lee!! Can’t wait to hear all about it and follow your story!!!
I’m so happy for you! I have had “boob” work as I was tired of being called flat chested. Everyone must do something to make them happy. Can’t wait to follow along in your journey!
You should do what makes you happy. I hope everything goes well and that you and your family are pleased with the outcome.
Thinking of you Lee! You are gorgeous just as you are – inside and out -and now if you feel even better about yourself, you’ll shine so much I may see it in Hawaii
Love you and wishing you a safe surgery and fast healing. xoxo
Whoo Hoo Mama!!
Good luck Lee. I am anxious to see the results. I too have wanted a nose job since I was very young so I am a wee bit jealous. OK, a lot jealous.
I am so happy you are getting this done – I know how it’s worried you. My thoughts are with you, friend!
