If you have been a follower of MSEL for any length of time you would know that we are super pet lovers. There are even more pets amongst us 
than children! Jet and Ruby are our newest pet additions. They are both adorable kitties that were rescued out of a feral cat colony in late winter 2012. They are super easy to care for but when you have to take them somewhere like the vet it can be a bear. That is why a pet carrier for me is so important. A brand I have always liked is Petmate so doing a review with them came very naturally.
I received 2 great carriers from the ultra-fashionable Curavations® line. The first carrier I received was the Curvations Pet Retreat in an adorable polka-dot brown. This carrier is soft sided with a fun rounded shape. It has 365 degree ventilation with a washable pad insert to add comfort to my kitty when we are on the go. The carrier is good for both cats and dogs up to ten pounds and is available in different colors and style.
What I think is probably the best feature for the carrier is not what it can do but how you can store it. It will easily come apart and zip down to store in a closet or a drawer making this carrier the perfect choice for someone living in smaller quarters or just someone who does not like to have a lot of stuff lying around the house. The other feature I really like is that the carrier is so attractive that if you want to you can leave it out in a corner for your kitty to use at their leisure for a nap. That is what I have been doing with mine.
The second carrier I received is the Curvations Top Load Pet Kennel. This kennel is very similar to what you typically see out there with a few exceptions. First the top half is ultra-stylish with a black and white rigid fabric upper. Then what makes the top even more unique is that if you have a difficult pet that does not like to get put through the front door then all you do is zip open the mesh top loading door, set your kitty or puppy in and zip it back up. Voila! No more fighting and scratching. With the additional top load mesh door option it is super easy! This carrier is also ideal for pets up to 10 pounds and can easily have the upper removed to store upside down inside the lower plastic part for easy storage.

We have 9 cats, and I think we have 7 carriers. If we ever had to evacuate for a hurricane, I’d love to have a couple more. I like the Look N See, but most of our cats are too, shall we say, hefty for the recommended size limit of 10 pounds. I like the Curvations top loader, as well as the other two-door carrier. We have a couple of two-door carriers and they’re so handy for the more difficult cats.
