Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL didn’t miss a beat this year with the return of Mickey’s No So Scary Halloween Party. This is one of my families favorite Disney events which we look forward to every year. My son Spencer, 4 years old, tends to be afraid of even the smallest thing and I know that we will have nothing to worry about at Not So Scary.
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a special event in which you will need to purchase a separate ticket to the park. Ticket prices run approximately $60 and the hours are usually 7PM-Midnight. I highly recommend this special event because no only will the majority of the rides and attractions in the park be open but there are special things to do as well. For example throughout the Magic Kingdom, the park in which the the special party is held, there are Goofy Candy Co. booths set up where you and your children will be able to Trick or Treat for the best candy in town. We’re talking Twix, Skittles, Snickers bars and more! And there is no limit, as lon as you don’t mind the short line (think 5-10 minutes) you can keep coming back as many times as you’d like.
There are also special shows created solely for the Mickey’s No So Scary Halloween Party. You may have seen the Disney parade numerous times in the past, but you’ve never seen it like this. The parade takes on a macabre spin for Halloween. All the characters come out in costume and the Haunted Mansion characters play a special role in the Boo-To-You Parade.
If you love fireworks be sure to set your eyes to the sky for the Happy HalloWishes fireworks show. During this show you’ll recognize many of your “favorite” Disney villains as they go trick or treating, mostly tricking of course, in the sky. It’s one of the most explosive fireworks displays I’ve ever seen.
