Exederm+Product+Line Exederm Review and Giveaway!

When I was asked by Lee to review Exederm, a product that provides relief for children’s eczema, I was eager to give it a try. After watching my son suffer from eczema with no relief until he finally grew out of it, you can imagine how awful I felt when my daughter, Jenna, at 6 months old was diagnosed with eczema. For two years I have dealt with the itching and flare ups. I tried just about every cream her pediatrician recommended and then some.

I was excited once the package of Exederm arrived, upon reading the literature Michelle sent I saw that Exederm doesn’t contain so many of those “added” ingredients that so many other products have. I was also impressed to see that Exederm held many honors with the National Eczema Association. I couldn’t wait to get started and did so the very first day it arrived.

It was a little overwhelming at fist since I had 5 products to use for her which included: Baby shampoo, body wash, baby oil, hydrating lotion, and the intensive moisturizer. But once I figured out when I would use each one, it became second nature. I used the Exederm shampoo and body wash during bath time and was impressed how well it lathered considering it didn’t contain the extra ingredients most baby products use to create lather. The actual texture of the soaps was a little different than I was used to; it had sort of a clear lumpiness to it. The only issue at hand at that point was that the shampoo wasn’t tear free, but I was extremely careful and we never had an issue with it getting in her eyes. After bath we used the baby oil that is supposed to lock in moisture into her skin, and it certainly delivers! The next step was the intensive baby moisturizer. I personally found that using the intensive baby moisturizer right before I put on her pajamas and put her to bed gave us the best results. During the day I kept the baby lotion near her diaper changing area and used it when I changed her diaper.

The results were amazing! Her back and chest were no longer scaly feeling and the raised bumps on her arms and legs, were not completely gone but were almost reduced in half. She never once asked me to scratch her back or acted uncomfortable in any of her clothes. This end result was way more than I could have ever imagined! Even with the humid Florida weather and several trips to the pool, beach, and park during the week with the slathering of sunscreen (which has always caused flare-ups) we never skipped a beat.

I would recommend Exederm to any mom or dad that has a child who suffers from eczema or even sensitive, itchy skin. I also want to add that my hands have never been softer!! Thank you Michelle for the opportunity to try out such a wonderful product on my little Jenna.

I learned that the products have:
    No Fragrance
    No Color or Dyes
    No Parabens
    No Lanolin
    No Sodium Laureth Sulfate
    No Propylene Glycol
    No Formaldehyde
    No Phthalates

But, the most shocking fact on their site, I think, is that 'The average person can use up to 100 different chemicals on their skin before leaving home in the morning – just in our daily skincare routines.'
Wow, I really would love to try this for my son, just to avoid all these chemicals that are in so many other products. Great giveaway!

They have no harmful chemicals like SLS's

I love their charts comparing the chemicals in other brands!

A great piece of advice I found the site is: Avoid putting synthetic or woolen fabric next to the skin as these materials can irritate or itch the skin aggravating dry sensitive skin or eczema.

Ok my son has eczema and not much works for him so I read that IF it doesn't work I could get a refund and that the reason the others might not work is because of the ingredients they used…

My baby has eczema so bad! This is what I learned from the site:
CAPB (cocamidopropyl betaine)- it's the main ingredient in America's #1 children's shampoo and in 2004 was voted "Allergen of the Year" by the American Contact Dermatitis Society!

Hi- I was directed to this site when I did a search for Exederm reviews. I just got our products in and started using them on my 3 month old yesterday. They work amazing but I was wondering if you noticed your child's skin turning bright red after using the baby eczema cream?

    Thanks
