I am a mother to a wonderful 4 year old son, and a beautiful 4 month old daughter. I love recognizing the many similarities and differences between my two children. One major difference is that my daughter has the nickname, “Princess spit-up.” My son never spit-up or even drooled, but my daughter, I have joked that I need to wear a poncho to stay dry!
Well there is a wonderful new product out there for moms like me to help save our wardrobe. It is called The Kikou and it was invented by mompreneur, Meredith Ferguson. Her company is called Calm the Crazy and is located in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. The Kikou is a wrap that goes over your clothes to help save you from your Princess or Prince spit-up, and it is much more stylish and comfortable than a poncho.
The first time I wore The Kikou I felt confident and fashion forward. I was dressed and ready to go for the day, but before I picked up my baby girl, I simply draped, wrapped then tied on The Kikou. Not long after her bottle, I got my first wet surprise over my shoulder, but no worries, I was fashionably covered! It was wonderful! For the first time in a long time I did not have to get upset about getting spit up on, and best of all I did not have to change my clothes! Before The Kikou I would get really frustrated after the third or forth time of changing my clothes for the day. I would even find myself thinking THIS IS CRAZY!
This product has many great qualities! It is waterproof, machine washable, and fully covers all target zones. This product is offered in five different fabric prints that are 100% cotton with a 100% polyester lining. The Kikou did withstand the test of my daughter and saved me time and washing. I did get a little warm while wearing The Kikou, and I did have to readjust the tie several times, especially when I had my cell phone in the handy front pocket. Currently The Kikou is only offered in one size, so a larger size might alleviate this problem.
I really enjoy this product and being protected against my princess drool. I also love the name of the company and the founders’ fun and unique care instructions for her product. Check out her website for more information on her and the products she offers at www.CalmtheCrazy.com
