This summer has been brutal! I’ve seen reports on the news of people’s cars actually sinking into the asphalt in Chicago. That is crazy hot! That is why this past week everyone in my neighborhood has been taking advantage of the cool down by opening up the house and letting the fresh air in for a change. Whenever I turn off the air it never fails, my son starts to complain before I even make it to my first door to open. “It’s gonna be to hot in here”, so this time I cut him off before he could get to his second breath and turned on the new Lasko Twist Top Tower Fan. His response “oh, well that’s okay then”.
The Lasko Twist Top Tower Fan is split in the middle so you can direct air to two different places in your room. There are three speeds and it can oscillate so that the entire room can be under constant air flow. The Twist Top Tower Fan in small enough to take to work for your desk. It can be used in your kitchen to help keep the heat from the oven under control. The Twist Top Tower would also be absolutely perfect for a college dorm room. We use ours in the living room by the window to help bring in the cool, fresh air. It’s so silent you can barely hear it, and powerful enough that you can feel it across the room. Lasko is also extremely safety conscious, so the fan has extra safety features built in (however it’s not a good idea to ever leave a child unattended around any fan).
I have an older home, so my living room is a nice size, but not as huge as the great rooms you see in homes today. This Twist Top Tower Fan works perfectly in my living room to help keep my entire family cool while watching TV, however you may need two if you have an extremely large room. I think this fan is perfect for an office or a bedroom. I used the fan for a week non-stop and it truly helped keep us comfortable, plus I sometimes forgot it was there. I really love the look of their vertical Outdoor Living Fans (#4890 & 4305). I don’t know what the air output is, but they are really stylish. The more practical choice would be one of the 20″ High Velocity Floor Fans. We don’t have central heat and air, and we rely on fans to keep the cool air from our one window A/C unit moving through the house.
