Meet and Greet with John Barrowman in Orlando, FL 3/22!

John Barrowman Meet And Greet With John Barrowman In Orlando, FL 3/22!Remember that one time I told you about how I tried to watch Doctor Who and it just didn’t work for me and I kinda called B.S. on all of you that say it’s the best show in the world? Then you jumped down my throat because apparently it’s the best show ever! But then I was willing to try Torchwood because a lot of close friends swore it was more character and relationship driven. And then I fell absolutely IN LOVE with it and basically had to create a spread sheet of how many episodes I was allowed to watch per night to stretch it out because I had to have Captain Jack Harkness played by John Barrowman in my life as long as possible. Yeah, that time.

Well I have incredible news for anyone living in the Orlando, Fl area or visiting MegaCon from out of the area. Captain Jack aka John Barrowman is holding an intimate meet and greet March 22 from 8:00-9:30 PM at the Rosen Centre Hotel. He is raising money through the site Pledge Music where you can donate money towards the release of his new album and receive, well, a piece of John. You can purchase autographed merchandise, messages from John and if you find yourself in London you can participate in other intimate meet and greets. Unfortunately this is the only opportunity in the States for a meet and greet so if you are attending MegaCon in Orlando you need to jump on this!

)

Honestly, how often do you get to not only meet, but mingle with one of your favorite celebrities? Oh and by the wayCaptain Jack Harkness 199x300 Meet And Greet With John Barrowman In Orlando, FL 3/22! Americans, did you know that John sings and has videos and everything? I think most of us just know that he is an actor in a bunch of awesome TV shows. Well look above, yep, he’s multi-talented. I digress, at this meet and greet you’ll be able to do the following:

Take pictures with John
Receive autographs on your own John Barrowman merchandise (make sure you bring your own)
Ask John all those questions you have about Dr. Who, Torchwood, Desperate Housewives, Arrow and his music

There will be coffee, tea and soft drinks and a variety of desserts for your to help quell your nerves so that when Mr. Barrowman walks in you’ll be as at ease as you can possibly be. Because obviously you’ll have butterflies but that’s normal, his good looks and great personality will do that to you.

You need to hurry though because the last day to purchase tickets is this coming Tuesday March 18th. If you want to learn more and to purchase your tickets follow this link to John’s pledge music site http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/johnbarrowman

OMG! I love John!!! He’s adorable and I want to be invited to his next slumber party :-)

Jen, honestly we might be able to make that happen. I have a pretty strong pitch and I feel like he would be up for it. Maybe he’ll add “Slumber Party” to his Pledge Music roster. ;)

Wow, this is pretty awesome! I hope you have a wonderful time Lee!

That gorgeous Jack Harkness! OH MY WORD! I wish I was a male… and gay… so I could have a chance with this hunk of a man. Swoon!! I need to make a trip to FL lol.

Yeah, I think everyone wishes they were gay when it comes to John Barrowman, the funniest part is that he knows it. His husband is even better looking than he is. I SOO wish you were here though. We could bond and have a great time sitting through Torchwood panels, me trying to pull you away from Dr. Who panels, it would be great.

I can’t believe I didn’t know about his singing career. I just watched the videa, and he is actually really good! Now I’m excited about the upcoming album.

This sounds like an awesome event. Clearly I have not been up on all the important John Barrowman news, because I didn’t know about it, either. I’m so glad he is coming to Orlando!!! :)

Lee, I love you. I have been a huge fan of Dr. Who since my mom got me into it back in the 70s! (yeah, i’m that old haha!) I am going to purchase tickets right NOW, we are both SO excited, thank you for sharing this!!

  6. 8

Now to scrounge up some cash to get to Florida, because there is nobody hotter than Captain Jack!

  7. 9

Wow, well done. It really promotes effectively this Meet & Greet in Orlando. Hope it helps to get as many people as needed!

  8. 10

!!!!! I didn’t know that he was coming to town!!! That’s awesome!!!

I told you about him YEARS ago, but did you listen? No… I hope a valuable lesson is learned :p

Back in 2008 he was in Toronto filming a reality show called How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? Basically the show was about finding the actress to play Maria in the new production of Sound of Music. I found him amusing, so I went back to re-watch Dr. Who, then found out about Torchwood, the rest is history.
His music pops up on my MP3 player on a somewhat regular occasion. Maybe he will come back to Toronto this year for World Pride celebrations, he seemed to have fun at pride in 2008.

Have lots of fun during the meet & greet in a few weeks Lee! :)

I haven’t watched the show but that sounds like an awesome opportunity to hang with a celeb. Can’t wait to read about it. :)

Let me start by saying I’m NOT a Doctor Who fan, but my husband is from way back. I like the new show (he says ’cause it’s been dumbed down), and I loved the first two-parter that John Barrowman was in. Great story. I enjoyed Torchwood a lot. A few months ago, I was recovering from wrist surgery and just watching TV all day, which was limited because we don’t have cable, but we do have Crackle through our TV. I was very happy to discover a “live” concert of John’s on there and enjoyed a close-to-two-hours (I think) musical spectacular. He even brought his mom and dad out on stage. Sorry I can’t remember the exact name of it, but I highly recommend it.

I STILL say Doctor Who is one of the best shows out there. But I admit that the show is missing something since Capt. Jack left.

This is a cool event and I hope I can go!
