Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2013 is in full swing at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. As I did earlier this year with the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party I will highly recommend this special event to you for many reasons. First and foremost is the price of the ticket is far cheaper than your normal ticket coming in between $62-the highest night being $71 you save quite a bit of money. Second is the amount of fun you get to have with half the people allowed inside the park. These events don’t sell out to the same crowd size as during the day, so while it may seem crowded when you walk in, make your way to the back of the park and your line waits are probably next to nothing! Did I mention free cookies and hot chocolate? Snickerdoodle cookies are delicious and the hot chocolate is too but be sure and ask for an ice cube (or three) because Cinderella’s mice in the back tend to make it a bit too hot. Our took so long to cool down we finally had to give up and move on. Read on for more reasons that I think you should visit Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2013!
You’ll have a chance to see Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade. The music is beautiful and the floats are as well. All the characters are wearing their Holiday finest so it is certainly different from the parade you are used to seeing. Between floats the characters will ski, ice skate and take part in other fun Holiday festivities that you won’t want to miss.
The castle is always a sight to see, but at Christmastime the castle can not be missed. It’s called Castle Dream Lights and The Fairy Godmother waves her magic wand to make this Disney magic happen. Now Cinderella’s Castle shimmers in icicles and snow that glint and glimmer as the colors change in front of your very eyes. My mother saw it for the first time this year and hasn’t stopped talking about it weeks later.
The Celebrate the Season Show is a great chance to see all your favorite characters perform in one place. Mickey has a very special Christmas gift for Minnie so be sure to get a good spot in front of the Cinderella Castle stage so you can watch. I personally love the Chip N Dale Nutcracker scene, it is always my favorite.
There is so much more to do so I won’t give it all away. My best advice is to arrive early, visit at least one dance party so your kids can get some up close and personal character time, take some time to find a great parade spot and just have fun! You’ll have the time, so use it to relax and slow down. This doesn’t have to be a whirlwind evening. Merry Christmas.
