MyPic2Canvas MyPix2Canvas ReviewEver take the perfect picture that you feel should be blown up large and hung for all to see? This happens to me all the time. I love to take pictures and occasionally I even take one that is worthy of marking a permanent spot on my wall. The trouble with framing your picture is you have to find the perfect one that suits the décor of your room and is the perfect size. It’s a lot of work. MyPix2Canvas Artwork is a simple and inexpensive way to create beautiful artwork from your photo memories.

My son Jake graduated from High School this June. It’s such a rare occasion that our entire family gets together that I thought it would be nice to get a family portrait done to hang in my newly re-decorated dining room. Since MyPix2Canvas had already contacted me about doing a review for them; this would be the perfect way to do both. The picture taking is the hardest part of the entire process. I’m dealing with a teenager who doesn’t want to do anything, my father in his motorized cart and two nephews who are at that perfect age where every time they smile for a picture they either look like they are ready to eat you or their faces are distorted to the point that you think they are actually being tortured. Needless to say I brought in reinforcements and asked my professional photographer friend, Jean Lachat, to help me.

I want to premise the fact that a professional is not needed or required for MyPix2Canvas. I chose to go this route in order to keep my sanity and save my family form the certain death that would ultimately fall on them had my pictures not come out perfect had I been taking them with a timer. Once the picture was taken uploading to MyPix2Canvas was a breeze. You chose your size, the kind of frame you want .75” or 1.5” which is ready to hang. You can choose to do color, black and white or sepia tone. Your picture can be wrapped with a color outer frame, mirrored look or stretched. Standard edits are included in the price and for a small fee they can even fix imperfections in your picture if say one of your nephews decided to cross his eyes for fun in your picture.

Keep in mind that you really have to have a lot of space on the sides of the picture if you want to get it stretched. I thought we would be fine and ended up having to change to a color edge because I would have cut off the sides of the photo during the stretching process. Also the better the picture, the better the result; MyPix2Canvas recommends a 300 dpi upload, that’s not so easy to get from a pocket sized camera. Don’t worry, I’ve seen the results from a regular photo and they are still beautiful.

I liked the ease in ordering, I appreciated that the company alerted me right away that my photo would be better as a color wrap rather than stretched and I absolutely love the outcome. My canvas picture arrived and is stunning, the quality, contrast and colors are beautiful.

A color portrait converted to a 16×20” Canvas wrapped to a 1.5” frame will cost $85.53 plus tax. I think this is a really good deal for a piece of art that means something to you and is perfect for any room in your home. Prices range from $31.00 to $352.00; log on to www.mypix2canvas.com today and create a masterpiece all your own.
