On July 2, 2013 the adorable Nicky Deuce as seen on Nickelodeon arrived in stores on DVD at all Major retailers in the U.S. including Walmart, Target, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon. Nicky Deuce is a fun story is based on the same titled popular childrens book by Steven Schirripa and Charles Fleming. It is also available for rental and download at such digital retailers as ITunes and Amazon Instant Video.
This fun Nickelodeon movie has many familiar faces to both U.S. viewers as well as Canadian viewers. Nicky Deuce stars Noah Munck (Gibby from “iCarly”), Cristine Prosperi (Imogen from “Degrassi”), Steve Schirripa (from “The Sopranos” and “The Secret Life of the American Teenager”), and Cassius Crieghtney, with Vincent Curatola, Tony Sirico and Michael Imperioli from “The Sopranos,” Rita Moreno, and a special appearance by James Gandolfini (from “The Sopranos”).
Nicky Deuce premiered back on May 27, 2013 in both the U.S. on Nickelodeon and in Canada on YTV. The movie follows the title character Nicholas Borelli II (Noah Munck). Nicolas is a sheltered suburban teen who has the adventure of a lifetime when his plans for math camp take a sudden turn. Instead of math camp his summer is flipped upside down when he is forced to spend his summer in Brooklyn, New York, with the family he never knew he had. This includes his Italian grandmother Tutti (Rita Moreno) and Uncle Frankie (Steven R. Schirripa). Nicholas, a shy and slightly awkward kid, is definitely at first a fish out of water in Brooklyn. Nicholas soon leans on the local kids to help him fit in and ends up with a slick new persona: Nicky Deuce. But when Nicky runs into trouble, he discovers a family secret and learns that the tough streets of Brooklyn aren’t always what they seem.
