sharpie stained marker CLOSED! Office Depot Introduces Sharpie STAINED Markers Review and Giveaway!
I am always  jealous of those people who can pick up a marker and draw something phenomenal. I’ve never had that talent. Even my stick people look oddly fat and not quite right. I roam through the halls at my son’s high school and look at the art work done by the students and I am in awe of their talent. The only thing I use Sharpies for is to permanently mark items I don’t want to lose.

Over the years, Sharpie has developed a number of different marking pens that I’ve found several household uses for. But when Office Depot asked me to try Sharpies new line of Sharpie STAINED Markers that where designed for those people who are looking for a permanent marker that is easy to use, bright in colors and dependable (like we all know Sharpie is), I knew better than to tackle this review alone. I called in re-enforcements, and Kris’s son Bob came to my rescue.

Bob is an artist, and a really good one at that! His ultimate goal is to design the artwork for the NASCAR Circuit and I have no doubt that he will one day do just that. Bob is able to draw free hand like no one else I’ve ever met, so I knew that giving him the Sharpie STAINED Markers and a few blank canvases would be the perfect way to showcase how well they work.

Bob grabbed the Sharpie Canvas Bag full of goodies out of his mother’s hands so fast she almost got pulled down the basement stairs with him. According to Bob, there really aren’t any good stained markers on the market for fabric so he was eager to try them and tell me what he thought. Kris had told me that Bob had spent a fortune on regular Sharpie Markers for fabric designs. The typical Sharpie markers worked, but not as well as a real artist would hope. The new Sharpie STAINED Markers should solve those problems.

First up was the T-shirt for his mother. Kris races a go-kart every year in a powder puff race in Indiana (you may remember my story about Team Chicken Holler last fall). Bob decided that his mother, and current 1st place title holder, needed a shirt for this year’s race season. He designed the perfect shirt with the go-kart on the front and the words “You Race Like a Girl” on the back. Sharpie STAINED Markers made it through every line without running or smearing or drying up. The shirt looks great!

Sharpies Stained Markers 1 CLOSED! Office Depot Introduces Sharpie STAINED Markers Review and Giveaway!

Now, as much as I loved the T-shirt Bob designed for his mother, I was like “Hello, what about me”. So in honor of the “girls getaway” trip that Kris and I take each fall, Bob made me a pillow case to take on our trip to New Orleans this Halloween. Kris and I are heading down to the Big Easy to be a part of their Voodoo Festival. Because we are crazy, and gluttons for punishment, we are spending a night at the famous Myrtles Plantation, which is supposedly the most haunted place in America.

I was not disappointed in the quality of the Sharpie name that I have grown to love over the years. I washed the pillow case and the Sharpie STAINED Markers did not run. I drooled on it in my sleep and I did not have the faint outline of a voodoo doll on my face in the morning. Sharpie has done it again!

Bob really liked the Sharpie STAINED Marker set and told me with confidence that any one, be it artist or novice like me will be happier with them than any other fabric markers on the market today. You can find the Sharpie STAINED Markers in sets of 4 or 8 at your local Office Depot Store for $9.99 and 14.99, respectively. Go to http://www.officedepot.com/ for more information or to order on line.

My husband/soulmate and I have been planning to get tattoos together for quite some time (11+ years). We both know from experience that the design is permanent and we want to be completely satisfied for eternity. We have practiced with pens and markers to test our designs, but of course, once you get near water or start to perspire, poof it’s gone! We started using Sharpie markers due to that very reason. We were so excited to see the Stained Sharpies on the market!! We know that this will truly be the summer that we finally get our marks!!!
