Closed! Pinnacle Studio HD Review And Giveaway!

by Lee on July 23, 2011

If you are like me you, on more than one occasion, find yourself logged on to YouTube until the wee hours of the morning. I will stumble upon a homemade video and think, I could do soooo much better, and then come to the realization that no, no I can’t.

For years I have been using photo manipulation software to change and enhance photographs, but when it came to video I didn’t have a clue. Not that it stopped me from taking short video clips with my camera, but without any editing knowledge or tools they just stayed on my hard drive without being shared with anyone.

When I was given the opportunity to try out Pinnacle’s Studio HD I knew that this was finally my chance. I am generally one of those people who download a program and start poking around without looking at any manual or instructions (this may be a bi-product of growing up with four older brothers). This often leads to frustration and half-finished projects. What I loved about Pinnacle Studio HD is that there is a great tutorial video that gives a good overview of what to do and how to do it. It shows the steps to start your first project without being tedious, which is important because I get bored so easily.

Studio HD is really intuitive, it is really easy to download video into the program and you can start feeling like an expert in a very short time. There are so many different transitions and effects to choose from; sometimes I couldn’t believe how great some of my crappy videography looked with the professional style treatment. I liked how I can use my photographs in the process because I still have far more photos than video. I wish I had this program a month ago when I had to put together a presentation for a retiring co-worker and everyone was subjected to death by PowerPoint.

Once you have created your masterpiece Studio HD helps you share your work with ease. You can do a quick YouTube download, burn a DVD, or download your video to your phone or MP3 player with video capabilities, so you can take it with you wherever you go. And did I mention? Pinnacle does all this and does it in High Definition!

I have only just scratched the surface of all the things that Studio HD can do, I know that there are still a lot of “hidden” treasures to be found, my YouTube account won’t know what hit it.

Right now one lucky reader can win a copy of Pinnacle Studio HD! Enter below.

I would love to have the Dazzle Video Creator Plus HD. It’s for transferring your old VHS home videos to your computer so you can edit and archive them. I know some of the tapes that I made back in the ’80s and ’90s are going bad. I have my wedding video (such as it was, whole ‘nuther story what went wrong with that), plus a lot of panel recordings from science fiction conventions. I would love to get them off old videotape and onto a hard drive and/or DVDs.
