SmartShopper Review and Giveaway!

Smart+Shopper SmartShopper Review and Giveaway!
Picture this. You arrive home after a long stressful shopping trip with the kids and you realize you forgot the most important thing because you didn’t have a list! What a nightmare! Do you drag the kids back to the store or just make do without the much needed item? The electronic Smart Shopper shopping list device can help you avoid this situation in the future.

The SmartShopper is an electronic device that creates grocery lists by the sound of your voice. “Eggs” “Celery” “Cherry Coke”, that’s all you need to do, simply say out loud the item you need and the SmartShopper records you. Not only that but the SmartShopper will also sort and print out your list by categories such as Paper Goods, Baby Needs and Beverages.

Right now I have mine stuck to the fridge, it comes with built in magnets so that was easy enough. However when I move next week I will have to use the nifty wall mounts that are also included. Whenever I think of an item I just lean over, press record and tell the SmartShopper what I need. I feel like Jane Jetson using a computer to create her shopping list. It is popular with my family as well. My 4 year old loves to play with it, though if I don’t pay close attention I would buy up half the snack section of the grocery store. Even my husband finds the Smart Shopper easy to use. The chaotic chore of making dinner is actually one of his favorite times to use SmartShopper because when he notices an item needs to be replaced it takes mere seconds to include it on the list.

There are a lot of great features about the SmartShopper. For one, it uses a thermal printing system so it does not run out of ink. One less thing to worry about. It also takes 4 AA batteries to operate. As a mom I tend to appreciate this because I can not for the life of me remember to plug things in to charge. I’d much rather just grab new batteries when they need to be replaced. My last and favorite feature is that you can also record errands that you need to accomplish the day you go to the store. Again, as a mom I tend to try and group errands together, so if I’m going to the store I’m probably also picking up dry cleaning and getting gas! Now I won’t forget anything!

Right now the nice, helpful people at SmartShopperUSA would like to offer one free SmartShopper to a lucky, lucky reader. To enter simply follow the instructions below and be sure to leave an email where I can contact you if you win.

I like that I do not have to buy ink for it. My printer guzzles the stuff for breakfast and is a major drain on income.

But how fast does the paper have to be replaced? I can see that running up a nice bill over time.

Since Dh does all the shopping – forgotten items are common. I’ve learned to substitue Mayo for cheese for a sauce when cooking. Pickle or Olive “juice” for vinegar when making dressing for a salad, and tortillas for bread to make a sandwich – which is now more common than using bread. We improvise here on a daily basis – so often now that I’m having trouble coming up with an example because it’s “normal”. LOL

BTW. I did blog the give away – but my link didn’t show up. Maybe it will later?

OMG!!! I planned on making a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. The stores were already closed. I had gone earlier in the day to get the necessary ingredients. Of course, right in the middle of making the pie, I realized I forgot to get the allspice! As you can imagine, what a heartbreak! The GOOD NEWS is that my neighbors had some allspice I was able to borrow. But, I remember thinking, how come I always forget the most important thing at the store! : )))

The SmartShopper is definitely the solution! : )))

Thanks again! : )))

Oh my goodness, how genius is this! My favorite feature is undoubtedly that I don’t need a pen, I can just say it and it will know… I’m always and I do mean always forgetting something at the store because I don’t have a list… I don’t ever have a list because when I think of something I’m to lazy to go find a pen and write it down, I say to myself.. “oh, I’ll remember that” .. Of course never do..

Genius…. I tell ya.. genius.

This has happened more than once: We add needed items to our grocery list as we run out of it. When ready to go shopping, I rewrite the list in the order things are located in the store. In the process of rewriting, I have left off important items like milk. The store where I shop is 20 minutes away. When I’ve forgotten something, I am stuck with going to a closer, much more expensive store to purchase that one forgotten item. Grrr. guill888 at yahoo dot com

This happened after I had agreed to help out with my sister-in-law’s baby shower a couple of years ago.

I was in charge of picking up some food items for the shower, which included the yummy cake. They made it easy for me, since I had flew in late the night before. I borrowed the car and made my way to the nearest Sam’s Club with the list in hand and was told the cake was ordered and should be ready for pick up. I knew it was because I was efficient enough to call and check before making the trip.

I was on a roll with time to spare! I got everything into the car, and made my way over to the VF, where my father-in-law was nice enough to rent out the lodge so we could hold the shower there.

I bring everything in and lo and behold…. “Where is the cake?”

Thank goodness I was not in charge of the activities and was able to head out and go back to pick up the one thing that people were looking forward to! LOL

When I was younger and not as wise I didn’t write lists. Came back from the store and found I hadn’t got potatoes and I needed them to make dinner that night.

So off goes hubby to get some potatoes and just as he was crossing the highway a semi truck came hurtling by , running the red light and drove right over the front of our car.

Luckily hubby was fine but car was a total loss and we didn’t get potatoes so ate tv dinners for supper.

We got a rental from the truck company and payment for our car and I started making lists since then.

Now with arthritis its a little harder and the Smart Shopper would sure help me out.

With my brain being only half there while I was pregnant, I forgot something almost everytime I went! There was one time I forgot my gallon of mint chocolate chip Blue Bell ice cream. GASP!!!! Needless to say, I didn’t realize until around midnight during my wonderful hunger wakings and made my hubby go get some! :) tee-hhee!

I love that the built-in printer requires no ink cartridges! Our printer no longer prints colour ink properly due to the fact that cartridges are sooo expensive.. we make sure we have plenty of black ink tho, as we want the coupons to scan correctly.. but our coupons look so odd with only the yellow colour working. lol! Thank you so much for offering this giveaway! eyeslikesugar [at] gmail [dot] com

i love that it tells you about coupons and organizes it by categories. i always seem to get on the wrong row and remember that i need to be on the other side of the store for bread or something. so annoying! plus my husband could help me keep up with the list instead of just telling me as i’m heading out the door with my 5 month old in my arms.

I have forgotten stuff at the store that I needed. I then had to go back in–after getting my 5 month old settled back in his seat. It’s so annoying to have to do that after you’ve already gotten everything you thought you needed!!

Just this week I went to the store to get milk and to order a birthday cake. I was supposed to be in bed, sick. I really wanted to make sure I got the cake my Dh wanted so I decided to go. While there I decided to get groceries so that I wouldn’t have to get back out for the rest of the week. I got all the way home and realized I had forgot about the cake.

I decided to wait until Saturday to get the cake, taking a chance that they might have the right cake. I go to the store yesterday and they had it, chocolate with white butter cream icing! I bought it and more milk, then came home and crawled back into bed :)

The SmartShopper is a busy mother’s dream come true! I am the one who needs this SmartShopper! With 3 young children, one being 6 months old, 2 dogs and a husband who counts as 2 people (LOL) I am forever getting to the grocery store or department store and forgetting to get something one of my family members told me to get. I have had to go back to the store on more occasions than I care to think about because I forgot to purchase something crucial that someone absolutely had to have! I will add things like doctors appointments times and dates that my kids have, meetings and activities for and about the kids will be added, important days like birthdays and reminders for getting gifts for those specials day, etc. This would make my life so much easier and my shopping so much for efficient if I had this very nifty gadget! I would also be much more organized in my visits to the grocery store and have some peace of mind! Thank you so much for the opportunity to enter.

Voice recognition is my fave feature, so the kids can’t add-candy, cakes, and cookies to the list! Hubby’s hobby is cooking, so he likes to do the shopping. He tries to be organized, and the last time he shopped, he dropped the list and lost it! He has been laid off and this would be a nice surprise for him to lift his spirits.

Well, on the day of her birthday party – with all the last minute party preparations, I forgot to pick up her birthday cake from the bakery! And by the time I remembered, the bakery had closed! So, I had to get them both out of bed, run to walmart to buy litter. I didn’t want my can peeing anywhere in my house, so I had no other choice. Maybe this can help me out so I don’t forget items!
