Handy Manny is racing into Prime Time! This Saturday night, March 20th at 7:00 PM EST on The Disney Channel, you can watch Handy Manny Big Race with voices from Wilmer Valderrama , Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Lance Bass. In this exciting prime time event for preschoolers and parents, Manny and the tools hit the motor speedway as a pit crew for the highly anticipated Wood Valley 500.
I know both my children ages 2 and 5 love Handy Manny. With a prime time special like this we will pop some popcorn and gather together on the couch to check it out. We really enjoy these Playhouse Disney specials.

I have the opportunity to interview Nancy Kanter, Senior Vice President of Playhouse Disney Worldwide. One of the divisions that Nancy oversees is Playhouse Disney Programming. A little about Kanter’s role with Playhouse Disney Programming:
Kanter oversees the development and production of all long and short-form live action and animated series. She is responsible for the creative vision of Playhouse Disney, unifying all programming, marketing and brand management teams and ensuring cohesiveness between programming, promotion and all extensions of the brand.
Kanter supervises the development of Playhouse Disney’s most successful original series to date, including the top-rated “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” “Handy Manny,” “Imagination Movers,” “My Friends Tigger & Pooh,” “Little Einsteins” and “Higglytown Heroes,” as well as the newly launched hit “Jungle Junction,” and upcoming series, “Jake and the Never Land Pirates.” Kanter was also instrumental in acquiring the hit series “The Wiggles,” “The Doodlebops” and “Charlie and Lola.”
