Be Greater Be Greater Than T Shirts For A Cause Review and Giveaway!Be Greater Than is a company that sells motivational t shirts. However I’m not talking about Successories style motivation. This motivation is a bit more to the point. On each shirt is the letter B and the > symbol. After that symbol is one word, for example, Expected. On the back of the shirt reads another lone word, Exceed. It’s that easy. With just a few characters the woman behind Be Greater Than has released a message.

When my Be Greater Than shirts arrived I was first impressed by the high quality of the shirt itself. These are t shirts, but they are a really heavy duty cotton. I live in Florida and I sweat like a man, yeah you heard me, it is disgusting. These shirts are thick and strong enough to hold up to my sweat. I didn’t get pit stains the moment I walked out the front door in the morning and that is saying something.

I received 3 shirts. One said B > Cancer, Survive. The next said B > Pollution, Go Green and finally B > Violence. I immediately knew that the B > Cancer shirt would go to my good friend Andy, who at just over 30 years old was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer. Andy never smoked a day in his life. He had a small child at home. Andy has no choice but to survive. I sent the shirt his way and from what I last heard, he wears it all the time. He is inspired by the simple message. The B > Violence shirt is in the box to go to the battered woman’s shelter. The women there understand better than most what peace can do for a person.

What I love about these shirts is that they are simple but powerful. They can inspire masses of people with one single symbol and that symbol is >. And in the end the best part is that a percentage of all sales go to a special charity. There is a breakdown on the BGreaterThan.com website!

The Green Police. Friend Or Foe?

by Lee on February 8, 2010

Green Police 300x170 The Green Police. Friend Or Foe?Last night during the Superbowl we were bombarded with a ton of new commercials. Many of them suffered from ineffective marketing tactics. But one stood out to many viewers and I’m not talking about the Tebow ad. The Green Police ad by Audi had people on Twitter riled up over…what exactly?

In the commercial a fake team of “Environmental Police” go around town reprimanding citizens for their crimes against our planet. Things like using incandescent lightbulbs, drinking out of styrofoam cups and choosing plastic bags in a grocery store. There was even an appearance by a pollutant sniffing anteater, though I’m still not sure what that was about.

The premise behind the commercial was to educate people on the damage we are doing to our planet. It was a satire and in no way meant to be taken seriously. You are not going to get arrested for throwing away your orange rind, at least not today.

However if in the future we do create some form of authority to reprimand crimes against our ecosystem would that be so bad? Are we thinking about tomorrow today? As the mother of 2 small children I can’t help but think about the world my great grandchildren will be forced to contend with if more people don’t start taking action.

I’d like you to watch the commercials for yourself and decide if it took part in some great offense. I always invite every one’s opinion on my blog and today is no different.
