On Monday I visited Orlando Plastic Surgery Center to learn about everything that would happen during my procedures. I have a lot of confidence in Dr. Pope and he has given me tons of reading material to be sure I have realistic expectations. I feel this is important because the truth of the matter is just because you have cosmetic surgery done, doesn’t mean you’ll always wind up with exactly what you wanted. We talked in depth about this and agreed that my expectations are that a smaller nose and less fat around my chin is my goal. He is pretty confident that this will not be a problem. I’m looking forward to seeing the results and I’m sure Doctor Pope is as well.
I’ll be under for about 4 hours and then there are about 2 hours of recovery so I plan to be out of there before 3PM. I probably won’t be able to update you until Wednesday but maybe I’ll jump on Twitter or Facebook for a moment. I’m addicted to social media so if I can do it I will.
The days following my surgery I’ll have black eyes, bruised cheeks and a sore face. I’ll have bandages on and a splint over my nose. I plan on hiding away in the house. Erika will be coming over one day this week to bring me lunch, mainly because she wants to see my beat up face. I’ll post pictures to the blog and do a video so you can follow along with the journey.
For now I leave you with pictures of where I’ll be in the morning. The picture at the top left is the Oasis Surgical Center OR and the picture at the top right is the recovery room. I’ll be getting to know both pretty well.

Good luck Lee! I hope everything goes well!
You go girl! I cannot wait to see your results and hear more about your recovery! Thinking of you today!
good luck today!
Lee,
This is Dr. Pope. I’m glad that everything went so well this morning. Be sure to call me if you have any problems or questions. I’m always available.
WOW! That is cool. A doctor that visits your blog to check up on you.
Love it!
Can’t wait to see the new you – but in my opinion there was nothing wrong with the “old” you either.
