There are honestly no questions that have come before this day and no questions that will ever come after as important as the one created at the opening of the New FantasyLand at Walt Disney World in Central Florida. That question is, “Have you seen the dragon?” The fire breathing dragon flies over the new FantasyLand and will have you and your children in awe. I felt like a child on Christmas morning standing there staring up at the sky screaming “OMG OMG this is so awesome!” He(or she) simply flies through the sky above the castles and spits fire balls. Start planning your trip to the Walt Disney World theme parks now because this moment alone will create the lasting memories we strive for as parents.
I recommend the Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. We are currently staying in the Cars Family Suites and I was surprised by the amount of detail they’ve put into the hotel. I’ll be sure to fill you in on more about the resort in a later post but for now check out the review I did earlier in the year on the Finding Nemo section of Art of Animation.
Unfortunately neither my camera or phone would take a good picture of the dragon, but Gary Buchanan from DisneyParks.com took wonderful video and edited it to perfection. Now you can see the dragon from up close and from afar. I must admit it looks much more realistic from far away but I did want to see what it looked like close up and it still is pretty impressive. Those Imagineers just knock it out of the park every time!
I’m going to have so much more to share with you about New FantasyLand so keep your eyes on the blog. We experienced the new Little Mermaid ride, visited Beast’s Castle and rode the colorful new Dumbo. I can’t wait to share it all with my readers. Tom Staggs, Chairman of Disney Parks and Resorts, even shared with us that New FantasyLand has been in the works for 30 years! That’s only a handful of years longer than the original Fantasyland has been open. I can only wonder what else Disney has in store for us in the future! You know I’ll always be here to bring you the news so keep an eye out.

That is the coolest thing EVER!!!! GOD, I love Disney!
The dragon was a one time thing. It’s not nightly. Please check your work before publishing incorrect information.
Actually my Disney sources tell me that it hasn’t been decided whether the Dragon will be nightly or a special treat every once in a while. I highly doubt they put this much money into something to use as a one time thing.

That dragon is awesome!
