Where Are Your Pants? Do Your Kids Insist On Being Undressed All Day?

Captain Underpants Where Are Your Pants? Do Your Kids Insist On Being Undressed All Day?

“Where are your pants?”

This is what my husband asks Jason nearly every single day when he gets home from work. That is because Jason usually refuses to wear pants. He isn’t naked, he always has on underwear, but that is usually it.

I’ve tried asking him nicely, bribing him and even threatening him to put on some clothes but he usually balks. My sister said my nephew was the same way and I’ve asked around and other moms seem to agree as well. Children just want to let as much as they can get away with, hang out.  However it makes my husband insane.

I guess until he gets older I’ll just settle for “I better go put on some pants cause Daddy is almost home”. I mean, at least he understands the main issue at hand.

Do your kids do this?

My daughter Lauren (3) likes to run around in just a diaper… We’re in the midst of potty training, so, sometimes she’s absolutely naked. Her response? “I LOVE BEING NEKKID, MOMMY!” I just roll my eyes. She will wear clothes if we go out in public though!

My 4 year old son and almost 2 year old daughter are practically nudists. The other day, we were shopping at Home Depot. They had a shower and my daughter literally ran towards it pulling off her clothes as she went. I just about died laughing. Had to put her clothes back on with her kickng and screaming.

omg yes our four year old is forever undressing. he rather run in boxers and be free as he says.

when I was younger my sister had the same thing. our neighbors would bring her home and she would be stark naked. Apparently she is still this way according to her soon to be husband.

makena hates clothes. after we lay her down for bed, or for a nap.. she always tears off her clothes and diaper. she likes to sleep naked. even in the middle of winter i can’t keep any clothes on her. when we are in the car, we don’t even get off our road before she’s tore off her shoes and socks. it drives me absolutely nuts!

Oh yeah. My daughter is 2.5 years old and she likes to be naked. The only way to get clothes on her is to leave the house or invite company over. Sometimes we compromise and she will wear a dress – and that is it. For some reason the underwear is not her fav……strange…..

Love it Lee! you are so not alone!

OMG, this is our house to a T! Right down to Greg coming home and saying “Go get some pants on!”

I think it’s also that we live in a warm climate, ya think?

Is that also why Cam sometimes wants to pee off of our deck instead of in the bathroom? Thank goodness that one has seemed to stop!

LOL!!! All kids do this. Jake’s nick name around town was “Naked Boy” I’m not kidding. He not only loved to be naked, but loved to show off being naked to everyone around him. Once I was having a garage sale and I looked over and Jake was riding the stationary bike on the front lawn wearing nothing but a helmet. Safety first!

He would come home from school and strip down to his underware until one spring day when he was 6. Suddenly the weather turned bad and we thought there was going to be a tornado. In a panic I went into his room and told him we have to get to grandpa’s house across the street fast in order to take cover. We don’t have a basement, but grandpa does. He was in only his underware and he freaked! Pure terror over the fact that he would have to survive a natural disaster in his skivvies and possibly have no clothes to put on if we did get hit. That was the last time he hung out without clothes on. He also slept in his shoes for a month! LOL!

The first thing Ro does when we get home from…anywhere…is take of her clothes.

She goes from “I’m hot” (in the middle of winter in a house with no central heat) to “It’s making me itchy”. I DOUBLE rinse all her clothes, so I don’t get it. And she’ll be 5 next week. LOL

I had to laugh at this.. our oldest did the same thing, he answered the door one day when he was around 7 in his underwear. His friend teased him a bit and he finally started to keep pants on,.

Every day when my 5 yr old gets home from school he takes his pants off to use the bathroom and will not put them back on! Same as your dh every day we hear “J where are your pants? Go put some pants on now!” What I want to know is why the heck do they care? LOL
