Why Does Florida Hate My Hair So Much? Or, Living A Perpetual Bad Hair Day!

I live in Orlando, FL. Humidity capital of the world. My hair never looks good when I’m at home. It’s always frizzy and tangled and 001 300x225 Why Does Florida Hate My Hair So Much? Or, Living A Perpetual Bad Hair Day!just plain disgusting. Even when I try using all different hair curling irons it stays curly or wavy for an hour or so and then it looks not only tangled and frizzy, but greasy as well! At some point it makes me want to give up.

Then I travel to Los Angeles or Toronto and my hair looks great. Super healthy, shiny without the grease and full of life. I swear it must be the weather. I can even us a flat iron on my hair and have it look good all day long. This is a near impossibility for me and simply unheard of. Usually I use a flat iron such as the Nume Vintage Ceramic Hair Straightener because I love the ease of straightening my hair and I want it to look great. Outside of Orlando this is no problem and I blame the humidity! The humidity in Orlando hates my hair! I have to get out of town, literally, to take a good picture!

Check out this picture to the right I had taken while in Yorkville, Toronto, ON! What do you see? Soft, manageable hair that took me less than 5 minutes to style. I think I’m going to move.

I live in PA and my hair gets very very frizzy in the summer months and it’s greasy looking too. I love the cooler weather because my hair always looks shiny and healthy. The flat iron does help in the summer but only for a few hours. I used to live in Daytona Beach as a teen and ALWAYS had horrible hair days, to the point where I didn’t want to leave the house.
