If you haven’t heard about Advocare you’ve probably been living bunker style in some cave in the mountains. Or you thought it was some type of new healthcare system rolled out by our Government. But no, it’s a diet program and it’s all the rage. Never have I seen so many people take part in a nutrition program and be happy with the outcome. The Advocare 24 Day Challenge is simply meant to give your body the jump start it needs to get on the ball. It’s the real kick in the butt to make “Next Monday” “This Monday” and help you keep that ball rolling.
I’m starting “On Monday” and when I actually get serious about dieting I make an absolute lifestyle change. So this weekend I went absolutely crazy with eating. It was an all out last hurrah. I ate sweet crepes, I went to Bahama Breeze and had jerk chicken pasta, I had ice cream 3 times and I don’t even eat ice cream. Oh and lets not forget the pizza. This was only Friday night and Saturday. So far Sunday hasn’t even come. Who knows what I’ll eat Sunday. I have a girlfriend in from out of town and I plan to eat with her as well.
But Monday, well Monday will be back on a Mediterranean diet as much as possible. No more eating out, which we had already cut back on so much already. Fast food has been cut out of our diet by more than half over the past few months and out of my diet almost completely. And my youngest is so misbehaved we rarely take the kids out for dinner anymore. So getting back on a healthy diet won’t be too hard. Less starch more vegetables. I did it before and I can do it again.
I just wish I was working in an office again. It’s so much easier to keep up with a diet when you are on a regular schedule. So often I wake up and eat a breakfast of Cheerios or cook down Oatmeal always with natural peanut butter mixed in and then I don’t eat again until 6PM. That is a huge no no when you are dieting. Cutting out meals is just out of the question. Actually eating numerous small meals throughout the day is an even better bet. But when you are at home or on the go with the kids, meals and even hunger gets away from you.
I’ll let you know how the Advocare 24 Day Challenge goes and whether I have weird side effects. I mean it is a “cleanse” so I am a bit nerve wracked about that. If you are interested in giving Advocare a try check out my girlfriend Lisa’s Advocare Site where you can purchase products or email her with questions. And no worries because she isn’t all selly like and she won’t breathe down your neck. I love her and no she didn’t pay me to say that or give me my Advocare for free either(bet you didn’t see that one coming). Seriously, check her out.
