First let me say that I really need to use these so I can get in shape for the vow renewal. Second let me say that Tim does as well. But I’m going to finish by saying that these Fitgevity 41″ loop Resistance Bands were really difficult for both of us due to their strength. This is not a con, it’s simply a sign that we are weaklings that can’t handle 10-50lbs in resistance bands. We are really just that out of shape.
Here is more information about Fitgevity, the brains behind these 41″ loop band sets I’ve been attempting to use. The owner’s name is Kate, a former Vikings cheerleader and all around healthy in shape person. She got fed up with resistance band sets that didn’t have handles and decided she’d create her own. And that hers would have a lifetime warranty. That Kate, always with the overachieving.
So now she has Fitgevity which I really enjoy. I’ve used the bands more than once so far and although I get absolutely nowhere I admit I try really hard. The purple band, which is 10-35lbs of resistance is my best choice. This is where the versatility of Fitgevity comes into play. I can do the following:
1. Use the door anchor (a round piece of foam that simply goes behind the door) a clip and the handles and then pull on the resistance bands. This is actually my favorite way to use them.
2. I can stand on the band and use the handles to pull the band this way or that way.
3. I can actually tie the bands around a tree or other stationary object using the carabineer clip and use my strength to exercise this way. This is for on the go people or people who train with others in the park.
4. I’ve seen on their site people stepping inside the bands so the band is around their thighs and then attempting to walk to the side or do squats.
5. You are also able to double up the bands for an even harder workout with extra strength. I can’t even imagine right now. But I’ve seen it done on Kate’s site.
Now these are only some of the ways the Fitgevity 41″ loop Resistance Band Set can be used. On Kate’s site she has a tab called Pop A Bead and it gives you many visual examples on how to perform exercises using the bands. The possibilities are endless. If I was able to use these easier I’m sure I could have had a lot more to share with you. I plan to make my way up to the purple band (10-35lbs)within about a month or so and the orange band(30-50lbs)by the next time I have a lunch date with Arnold Schwarzenneger. Luckily we just did lunch so it’ll be at least 6 months before we see one another again. That guy’s always so busy but doing what no one knows.
Check out Kate’s website Fitgevity Solutions not only to see her products but also because she works really hard on it. She has a blog, she has training videos, fashion tips and I see a lot of her in the bloggers you have grown to love. She has that small business fire burning inside her and she really wants to make this work. She’s engaging, she wants to talk to you on her social media channels like @Fitgevity on Twitter.
My opinion of the Fitgevity 41″ Resistance Band Set which you can purchase on Amazon is this: They are absolutely the best at home exercise equipment you could have for versatility. Use it at home, outside, at the park, on your college campus, waiting for your daughter to get done with gymnastics, while you read a book. I however did have a hard time with the resistance of the set I received. I really want to try the set below this one which is her Fitgevity Resistance Bands Heavy Duty Band Set that has many tube style bands with small amounts of weight you build up towards. Either way I’m sure it will be a great quality because this set certainly is.
The great news is I’m giving away a Fitgevity 41″ Resistance Bands Set. So you can win these and add a whole new dimension to your P90X or Sweatin’ To The Oldies, whatever I won’t judge! Enter below.
