Fall is here, but that doesn’t mean you need to put the grill away. You can enjoy all your favorite summer time grilling recipes year round. With the help of Holland House Cooking Wine you can turn the dullest of meats into a flavor explosion. Holland House has an assortment of flavorful, low sodium cooking wines that can be used to liven up a sauce or marinate vegetables as well. Grilling, baking or cooking, Holland House Cooking Wine is a staple in every kitchen. Here is my Holland House Cooking Wine Asian Pork Recipe.
Here is what you’ll need:
|2-4 Pork Chops (doesn’t matter what cut you choose)||½ Cup Holland House Sake Cooking Wine|
|3 cloves of Garlic||¼ Cup of Low Sodium Soy Sauce|
|Fresh Ginger Root||Ground Pepper to Taste|
Start by combining your soy sauce and the Holland House Sake Cooking Wine.
Add your pork to an air tight container or Zip Lock bag. I love my Tupperware Marinade container because it allows the marinade to surround the meat, but any container will work. Add the Holland House Marinade.
Use a garlic press to add the fresh garlic cloves.
I peel my ginger with a spoon, and then also use my garlic press to add the fresh ginger. You can also use a hand held grater, or just mince it with a knife. There is no wrong way to do this.
And your pepper to taste
Place the lid on tight (or close the bag) and give it a good shake. Then let it sit in the refrigerator for at least an hour. After an hour, go it and flip the container or bag to be sure that the marinade is covering all sides of the meat. Then let it sit another hour.
Once you have let the meat soak up the marinade place the pork on a hot grill and cook for whatever amount of time is suggested for the cut you chose.
Serve with a side of teriyaki rice and a large green salad.
Marinades serve many purposes. Holland House Cooking Wines are the perfect combination of acid and flavor to tenderize your meat. Adding a Holland House Cooking Wine to some Olive Oil and seasoning can bring outstanding flavor to vegetables that even the pickiest of eaters will enjoy.
