I’ve been out here in Los Angeles for just over a month and it hasn’t been easy. Tim is still in Orlando and there have been a lot of struggles. My wonderful friend Cecilia has worked hard to make me feel at home. I was recently able to meet her talented daughter Jesaiah, a fascinating young music artist. Jesaiah has the voice of an angel and the heart to match. Her new song, Bruises On My Skin is a way to remind yourself that you are beautiful, just the way you are. I wanted to take a moment to share this video, which features people of all ages, sizes, races, and gender. The actors in this video, such as Bex Taylor-Klaus were chosen to perform because they have a story and want you to know you are enough. Every single day, you are enough.
American Idol Contestant Jesaiah Baer
Jesaiah first became a household name with her American Idol Season 12 audition and continued to the following round. You may remember her because the fire alarm sounded during her audition making it most memorable. You can find more from Jesaiah’s YouTube Channel so please check her out and subscribe. I think you’ll enjoy her work and even better, respect what she’s doing. I appreciate how much she puts into her music and the fact that she writes her own lyrics.
There is nothing that makes me happier than supporting my own friends and when my friends or their children do amazing things it makes my job easy! Please take 3 minutes to watch Jesaiah Baer sing Bruises On My Skin, you won’t be disappointed. Her dancers wear Spanx which speaks to me. Heck, let your daughters watch the video as well and make sure they understand what they are hearing. We need to be raising a generation of girls who will grow up to be women with nothing to prove and the ability to love themselves above all else. Thank you Jesaiah for sharing this message.
