Multi Talented Celebrity Alert: Can Jeremy Renner Sing?
*This is an oldie but a good ladies and gentleman. I’m not writing a lot during the holiday break so I’m going to be regurgitating a few older posts your way. I remember this one from 2012 when I first heard Jeremy’s sweet voice. He never did make it to Broadway. And now that I think about it, did Scarlett? I did end up talking a bit about his personal life in my Jeremy Renner: One Night Stand Or Marrying Kind piece on Huffpo. I spent my 32nd birthday with him. He got a Twitter account which he uses to post pictures of what a great father he is as he yo-yo’s in a miserable child custody battle that makes me incredibly sad but also made me create the hashtag #JustFencethePool. I don’t think any celebrity has made me love and hate them as much as Jeremy Renner. <3
An actor I’ve been keeping an eye on since 2002 when he play Jeffrey Dahmer in the movie Dahmer, Jeremy “I want my personal life to be personal” Renner is a very talented singer. I heard a rumor he is considering taking a walk on over to Broadway to play Brick in “Cat On a Hot Tin Roof” opposite Scarlet Johansson’s Maggie. When I heard this I immediately Googled the f*ck out of the keywords Jeremy Renner Singer and so many videos came up. It seems he even gets a chance to sing either in or on the soundtrack for some of his movies like North Country and Love Comes To the Executioner. He is actually really good at it and I’m not sure if that surprised me.
Now lets get down to business. Most of you know my thoughts on multi talented celebrities. They usually annoy the heck out of me. Especially when they whine and whine about how they “never really wanted to be a movie star, I just want to concentrate on music” or directing or painting or or or. Because if that is the case, then just stop. There are thousands of people behind you waiting to take your place. Luckily Jeremy doesn’t seem to be a whiner and that makes me smile. Therefore I will happily support his music habit and cheer him on each and every time he succeeds.
Jeremy Renner I have a message for you. This singing thing seems to make you really happy and seeing you happy makes me happy. This world needs more happy moments. If you promise to continue singing and making sure it gets posted on YouTube, I promise to leave your personal life alone. It’s sort of a one sided deal though because I’m not one to gossip about celebrities personal lives anyway. But really, would it kill you to get a Twitter account? You don’t have to Tweet your personal life, just your showbiz life. The world will be waiting. Oh and one more thing, keep working those arms. I mean wow, seriously?
