The one form of entertainment my entire family can agree upon is an arcade. Everyone has their favorite type of game (Skee-ball) and we can spend time together or separate and still have a good time. Jason, Spencer and I were recently invited to check out Main Event Entertainment Pointe Orlando video game arcade which is more than just flashing games and loud noises, much more. You’re going to want to check this place out so keep reading!
If you’re on International Drive in Orlando and hungry for some entertainment Main Event Entertainment is a great choice. Not only is it an arcade, but a full service restaurant as well. And they have burgers. Yes, burgers are always a great choice. Humongous pretzels are also on the menu along with numerous pizzas and tacos I would crave and go back for. There is a full bar for alcoholic beverages too. I don’t drink but they sure looked good.
Main Event Pointe Orlando Video Game Arcade
Both children and adults love video games. I strongly believe if you build a fantastic arcade it will succeed. As children walk by they’ll beg to go inside. They will play games such as numerous ticket games, rides like motorcycles and car type racing games and a huge version of Crossy Road. Men will itch to get inside and play games both old and new. Main Event has giant screen Galaga, Skee-ball and The Walking Dead.
Bowling And Billiards
Spencer loves bowling as long as it goes in his favor. Luckily they have bumpers on the bowling lanes at Main Event Entertainment Pointe Orlando. Jason took time to play a game of pool with Jen’s husband Nate. He also checked out the neat shuffleboard table game. It’s kind of old fashioned looking, all wood and classic. I had never seen a shuffleboard table and I think at another time I’d love to try it out. Main Event has bowling, shuffleboard tables and pool for those looking for a night of drinks and relaxation!
Gravity Ropes Adventure Course
One of the only indoor ropes courses in Orlando is found here at this fabulous entertainment center. Both Spencer and Jason got into their harnesses and climbed the stairs to get onto the course. Once up there they went separate direction experiencing challenges like swaying bridges, tight ropes and balancing planks. There was one place specifically both of them chickened out. You can see Jason is in great peril as the tyrannosaurs from Jurassic Park is after him! Adults are able to do this as well and they were having ridiculous amounts of fun. It’s scary too though, you could hear one little boy crying that he was scared and he had to be brought down by the employees. 48″ and up for the Main Event ropes course.
Now I’ll admit I did not get to take part in the Main Event V Play Virtual Reality powered by Zero Latency. Jason really wanted to but he is 12 and you have to be 13. The people who did play wanted to do it twice. Some played the zombie hunter type game which was by far the favorite and another more technical type game that wasn’t as enjoyable. Here is an excerpt from Main Event’s website:
Imagine a game that doesn’t feel like a game. Where your body is the controller. And your mind believes it’s real. The digital and real world meshed seamlessly together, to transport you inside the virtual like never before. When you move, the game moves with you. Pure immersive mayhem with the freedom to get up and go.
Main Event’s Virtual Reality, powered by Zero Latency, features state-of-the-art wireless technology and motion tracking. Pit yourself against rebels as you and your team race to restore order, before the clock runs out.
