Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron Trailer 2
A new Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer has made its way around the web and I’m excited to share it with all of you. Now, part of me wants to play the “Here is what I think” game but I learned my lesson with Iron Man 3. Being a purist, knowing the story behind these characters and the comics makes each movie hard for me to swallow. However don’t get me wrong, I love each one in its own way. I saw Avengers in the theater five times. Yes, five times.
A big part of this movie is the introduction of the Maximoff twins. The Scarlet Witch has telekinesis and gets in the Avengers minds (not really in the comics but okay) and in a bootlegged video from (comicon maybe) we have seen Tony and Steve arguing over what she showed them. This will lead us towards Captain America 3 Civil Wars (I tremble in anticipation as I cling to my dog eared copy).
I think a strong theme in AAU will be fear and self reflection. Looking inside themselves to wrestle with their own demons. For example the ballerinas and the medical equipment speak to me as Natasha’s past in Russia and the Red Room Academy. I could be wrong and I admit this up front. But it certainly makes sense whether I’m wrong or not. She was brainwashed to believe she was a ballerina while being bio enhanced.
What’s going on with Hulkbuster and The Hulk? Hulkbuster is an armor that that Tony Stark created to go head to head with Banner when he gets a bit out of hand. Remember when Natasha was running for her life in the first movie? Moments like this just tend to happen when Mean Green can’t control his anger. So Tony, being a realist, knew the world needed a Plan B. So are we going to need that plan in AUU? Or are we taking the entire scene out of context not even seeing Tony inside the suit? Is it possibly Ultron controlling the suit via Starbuck’s Wifi?
We’ll have to see how it goes and as the days tick by I’m sure more and more will be revealed. I know this much, I can not wait.
