When I visited Los Angeles earlier this month I wanted to ride in style. I found Ryde, a peer to peer car sharing company, aka the Airbnb of car rental companies. I was able to rent the car I wanted with no hassle. If peer to peer car sharing confuses you don’t worry, it’s simple. It’s just renting a car as you would from any other company. Follow along: You just log into Ryde and choose the location where you want to rent and the dates you’ll be driving. Once chosen a range of cars will show up for you to choose from. Instead of being owned by one large company these cars are owned by different individuals who earn income by renting their oftentimes fancy vehicle to you directly. Ryde is currently available in Los Angeles, San Fransisco, San Diego, Miami and soon Orlando.
For Example, We Rented A Maserati Ghibli
There are basic car models available like you would find at other rental car locations but half the fun is living on the wild side. For example, we chose to drive the Maserati Ghibli for the week which was owned by a lovely lady named Stacy. Stacy has quite a few cars set up with Ryde and is always making an income so it is a win-win situation. The Maserati was beautiful and the looks we received while driving it definitely boosted our egos.
The leather was soft, the engine was fast and it had room for a family of four. Tim says it had a speedy pickup due to the Turbo Charged v6 engine, it gave you the ability to choose how to use the engine with the switch between manual and automatic gear shifting, and many ways to utilize one car. My favorite part was that the Ghibli has built-in navigation. This freed up my phone, during the drive. We used this feature every single time we left the hotel. Most importantly though we were driving a Maserati Ghibli and we would probably never have that chance again without Ryde at our fingertips. Next time I’m trying out the Land Rover Evoque or a Tesla.
Who Would Rent From Ryde?
Ryde isn’t just for you and me. Maybe a movie star is considering purchasing a Porsche Boxster but wants to give one a spin first? Or they want to show up to a red carpet event driving the brand new Aston Martin V8 Vantage! Ryde would be the perfect way to get behind the wheel without owing any favors to a big name brand. The possibilities are endless and Ryde peer to peer car sharing makes it all possible.
Why Would You Rent From Ryde?
What are you doing this Thanksgiving? Consider taking Ryde for a spin and rent a sports car and take a drive with the family. If you have the option of driving around town in a convertible consider pulling your hair back and taking in the sites of your hometown. We recently decided to visit five local statues and learn about their history. Both boys then had to write a short essay about their top three favorites. It would have been even more fun with the top down. You could really be the envy of all your neighbors.
Ryde Discount Code
If I’ve convinced you to check out Ryde peer to peer car sharing I can offer you a Ryde Discount Code for $30 off ERDY6959. Again that is Ryde Discount Code ERDY6959 for a $30 discount off your first car rental! That’s a great deal.
*Huge thanks to Ryde for the complimentary rental so I could provide this review. I’ll be doing business with them many times in the future.
