Tonight Spencer, Tim and I sat down and watched the first two episodes of The Dangerous Book for Boys starring the adorable Gabe Bateman. Spencer wasn’t especially interested in the show but I think it is important for him to see other children acting on shows outside of kid’s networks. As I suspected he ended up becoming quite invested quite quickly so no doubt we’ll be finished the season.
The Dangerous Book For Boys
The McKenna family must cope with the passing of its much-loved patriarch, Patrick. Hope appears in the form of a book called The Dangerous Book for Boys that Patrick created for his three sons. It becomes a how-to guide that inspires fantasies in his youngest son, Wyatt, enabling him to reconnect with his father and learn lessons that help him navigate real life.
I personally enjoyed the entire cast. Swoosie Kurtz plays the Grandma who certainly doesn’t act or look her age and adds some comic relief for the adult audience. The scenes where they utilize the father being a twin to explain the young boy’s day dreaming is some serious creative writing. You must give The Dangerous Book for Boys on Amazon Prime 25 minutes of your time to win you over. It is safe, wholesome entertainment for the entire family with masterful special effects and a winning cast. The first 6 episodes are available now.
