Locals, your kids got straight A’s or won the softball tournament. Where should you go to celebrate? Tourists visiting looking for the sweetest treat in town. Where can you find it? Get ready for a mouthful.
Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen at Universal Citywalk Orlando
Professor Doctor Penelope Tibeaux-Tinker Toothsome and her
creepy fun robot friend Jacques work hard night and day to ensure only the most delicious treats are waiting for you in this building that looks like it came straight out of a movie. The building alone can’t be missed, it’s a magical steampunk masterpiece.
The big hit are their artisanal milkshakes, the flavors are simply divine. Marshmallow Crisp, Red Velvet, Heavenly Hazelnut, Bacon Brittle and so many more. I mean we are talking big flavor. A Toothsome milkshake is what you take your kids to enjoy for good grades or the perfect score. And you should because you won’t be able to choose between them and each milkshake is better than the next. I don’t even eat ice cream but my friend Jen talked me into sipping a few. Heaven. Steampunk Heaven.
Toothsome – Grab A Meal
As mentioned above there is a “Savory Feast Kitchen” that serves meals all day long. I’ve been treated to two meals and neither thrilled me. I think my issue with Toothsome for a meal is there are other restaurants in Citywalk that are so much better. My opinion is eat dinner somewhere else, but grab dessert at Toothsome because you won’t find a better dessert option.
If you are set on visiting Toothsome for lunch or dinner consider trying these.
Crepes – Oh these were good! My only complaint would be if you do dessert it’s two sweets in one night
Chicken Bercy – I got the feeling this is Toothsome’s special dish. Maybe they put extra love into it?
Hamburgers – It’s hard to mess up a hamburger if you order it medium rare. Or so I say and Tim agreed when he ate his. The Blue Plate Special looks like a fun one to try.
Toothsome – The Emporium Store
There will probably be a considerable wait when you visit Toothsome so be sure to take time to enjoy the store. It’s so much fun with all the candy boxes and props. You can purchase fresh candy as well. Do that to tide you over. They are all good so I can’t give you a recommendation. I can not tell a lie, I’ve had quite a few of their fresh chocolates and haven’t been disappointed.
So Is Toothsome Worth The Visit?
Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen at Universal Citywalk Orlando needs to be visited tomorrow. Book your plane tickets, gas up the cars or whatever else you need to do. I’d recommend grabbing tickets to Halloween Horror Nights 26 and then fill up here with a burger and milkshake first. You won’t be sorry and you’ll wish it was still open when the park closed.
*I was treated to dinner one evening and also invited to the media event. My review is honest, what you always expect to hear from me.
